Cooking at the Old Hospital

The house described in this quick story was Revelstoke's first hospital, opened by Drs. W.B. McKechnie and F.W. Jeffs in 1897. It is now a private residence. My hubby's house across from the courthouse used to be the old hospital when Revelstoke was known as Farwell. Every once in a while you would swear someone was baking or cooking because the smells were absolutely awesome, but no one was baking or cooking in the neighborhood.

This story is particularly interesting because other past residents of this home have reported the same thing. Cooking ghosts are the kind of ghosts I can get behind, though the disappointment of waking up to the smell of food without it actually being there might eventually drive me to call the Ghostbusters
