Hey everyone, and welcome to "A Strange Little Place: The Hauntings and Unexplained Events of Revelstoke". For those of you who don't know, which will be most of you, Revelstoke is a small mountain town in western Canada (check out the "Why Revelstoke?" page for more location info) which also happens to be both my hometown and a hotbed of high strangeness.
What is "High Strangeness", you ask? It is the kind of talk that gets you disinvited to a lot of parties, is what it is. It's also anything that the television would call "paranormal activity" - hauntings, shadow people, lights in the sky, and so on. As I discovered while researching my book, "A Strange Little Place" (available everywhere fine books are sold), the Revelstoke area has a history of this high strangeness going back at least as far as the 1950s and, I suspect, much further.
The book was released in August 2016 and since then a few more people have come forward with their own stories from Revelstoke. The problem has been that "Strange" sold well enough to earn multiple printings (currently on its third) but not enough to warrant a follow-up, there was nowhere to share those stories. This website will, I hope, change that.
On the "Share Your Story" page there's a form where you can share your experiences in the Revelstoke area - past or present, it makes no matter to us. All the experiences we receive will be edited for length and clarity, then shared on the website unless I decide you're trying to fuck around, in which case they won't.
